Account and Data Deletion
You may delete your account from within the Crane Checklist app. In the app, visit Support, select the Account or Data Deletion tab, and choose Delete Account.
Deleting your account will permanently remove your ability to sign in and will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your user profile that we are not required to retain. This may include your current profile name, email address, telephone number, authentication credentials, and device or session information.
Deleting your account does not necessarily delete inspection, safety, audit, or compliance records created by you or associated with your account. These records may need to be retained for regulatory compliance, workplace safety, audits, investigations, insurance matters, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, legal proceedings, or preservation of evidence.
When the app is provided through an employer, fleet owner, customer company, or another organization, that organization may own or control the inspection records created through its account. We may coordinate with that organization regarding the handling of its records, but organizational approval is not required to delete your individual login account.
Information contained within retained records may continue to identify you. For example, an inspection record may retain an inspector’s name, inspection activity, certification information, acknowledgment, or signature when that information is necessary to preserve the integrity and evidentiary value of the record.
We may also retain limited information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain security, process billing records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We will retain such information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
Deleted or de-identified information may remain temporarily in backups, system logs, and archival systems until those systems are overwritten or expire under our normal retention procedures. Information retained in those systems will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
